Darin Lee Brokering 56, of Flatrock, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at his residence.

He was born January 25, 1965 in Shelbyville to Max Brokering and Nancy (Stout) Richards.

Darin served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years before receiving an honorable and medical discharge.    He was a member of the NRA.  Some of his favorite times were spent outdoors, whether it be hunting and fishing, or just out back cooking with his dogs.

Darin is survived by his daughter, Nicole Brokering, his son, Mathew Brokering, his grandson, Branden Coleman, his granddaughter, Kenzlee Brokering, his brother, Scott (Tanya) Brokering, and his sister, Melissa (Herb) DeSpain.

He was preceded in death by his father, and his brother, Warren Brokering.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m, Friday, January 14, 2022 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN.

Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.  Military rites will be conducted by local veteran organizations.
