James M. Tindle Sr., 77, of Shelbyville

James M. Tindle Sr., 77, of Shelbyville passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021, at his home.

 

He was born May 6, 1944, in Greensburg, the son of James Louis Tindle and Doris L. (Hermesch) Nicholson.

 

Jim is survived by his mother of Davenport, Florida; son, Jeffrey Wayne Tindle Sr. of Shelbyville; daughter, Angie Spurlock and husband, Joe, of Shelbyville; fiancé, Tammy Duffman of Shelbyville; sisters, Beverly Baker of Shelbyville, Marsha Paul of Orlando, Florida, Brenda Taylor of Somerset, Kentucky, Wanda Foster and husband, Garry, of Owensboro, Kentucky, Kimberly Tucker of Shelbyville, Patty Key of Tomston, Georgia, Barbara Rickman of Missouri, and Vicki of Spencer; brothers, Robert Lee Tindle and wife, Linda, of Davenport, Florida, David Pursley and wife, Rhonda, of Bargersville, and Scott Tindle of Williamsburg, Kentucky; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his father; daughter, Tonya Lee Warrick; and son, James Michael Tindle Jr.

 

Jim also leaves behind his dog, Bandit.

 

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

 

Jim retired in 2015 from the utility department of Florida Camp Inn.

 

He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Greenfield VFW.

 

Jim enjoyed outdoor activities, especially going fishing. He also enjoyed remodeling. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.

 

Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
